Global development and humanitarian actors have always strived to connect the local to the global. At the 2021 Alliance Annual Conference we will take this further: exploring why holistic, joined up action on wellbeing, climate and inequality is an increasing imperative at home and abroad.
This year’s flagship event by Scotland’s International Development Alliance takes place online over 1 and 2 December just after COP26 and while the world grapples with increased inequalities wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic. Whatever the outcomes agreed in Glasgow, as a diverse sector committed to solving global issues, we already know that we must up our own game, join the dots and lead from the front.
Attendees can expect international speakers, engaging and interactive sessions, and opportunities to network with over 200 other stakeholders engaged in global sustainable development.
Who can join us?
Open to both non-members and members of Scotland's International Development Alliance, this interactive online event will will explore how actors in the sector, and beyond, walk the talk on climate, equity and wellbeing and how we might change the way we operate and the way we work with others.
What to expect?
This event will be hosted on an easy-to-use online platform.
Live sessions will take place over two consecutive mornings (9am-1pm on 1 & 2 December), but the event platform will remain open for full days allowing attendees to interact with fellow participants at your own pace through chat functions, discussion boards and virtual networking.
Full event programme available soon.
