Climate Charter Working Group Meeting

Registration is closed for this event
This new Working Group is all about climate mainstreaming and developing a 'climate charter'. It is relevant for both newscomers to this area and those already doing fantastic work who would like to share their knowledge. Individual or organisational members welcome.

Join us to move discussions forward on developing a pathway to embed climate and environmental principles into everything from organisational culture to project and programme design, symbolised through a climate charter ahead of COP26 next year.

Date:  Thursday 14 January

Time: 11:00-12:00 UK time

Who is it for? This working group will be useful for any Alliance members interested in learning more about climate mainstreaming and those already doing fantastic work who would like to  share their knowledge with our members. It will be relevant whether you are an individual or organisational member.

Why you should attend? The climate emergency affects all of our work, whether we coordinate small projects with health care workers in one country or we are implementing multi-country programmes in countries already facing the costs of climate change.

Climate mainstreaming will enable us to build a more resilient and sustainable sector moving forwards, and for those who are sceptical about the value of climate mainstreaming, there will always be a question in a donor application about environmental sustainability.

At this second working group meeting we will:

  • Agree the Terms of Reference for this new working group
  • Hear from members already engaged in this exciting work
  • Feed ideas into  a new project proposal to support work on climate mainstreaming in international development.
