Time: 10:30-12:30 (includes sandwich lunch)
Date: Thursday 10 October 2019
Who is it for:
This event is an opportunity for large and small organisations alike working in international relief or development to find out what they can do to prepare for Brexit. It will be particularly useful for organisations who are in the course of implementing a project or projects overseas budgeted in sterling, for your downstream partners to spend in US dollars or local currency.
This event will be useful not only to organisations implementing EU or the UK Department for International Development (DFID) grants, but also grant-holders of other institutional donors such as the Scottish Government, Comic Relief, National Lottery Community Fund, People's Postcode Lottery and charitable trusts and foundations.
This event will be of interest to senior staff or trustees involved in programme management, cash flow management, financial reporting, forex (FX), risk, HR, fundraising and strategic planning.
Why you should attend:
Join representatives from the Department for International Development (DFID) for a roundtable discussion event about how Brexit might affect your organisation. This is your chance to ask the questions that will help you plan for the consequences of Brexit, which none of us can foretell, but DFID and your fellow attendees can help you to envisage.
